M Renjith’s directorial debut “Black Butterfly” is far from being called as a perfect film. But still the emotional binding and the social relevance makes the movie worth watching. The film is the official remake of Balaji Shakthivel’s tamil film Vazhakku Enn 18/9 which was released in 2012. A tale of selfless love and a message against the teenage criminal mind sets has been conveyed in an attractive way.

The plot follows an investigative thriller pattern and within that it narrates two stories. First half mainly concentrates on the love story of a lower class boy and girl. The second half narrates the relationship between an upper class boy and girl that plays a crucial role in the plot. The connection between the two stories and the result of the investigation is basically the whole movie is about.

Lack of maturity in the performance of the young bloods in the dramatic dialogs written by J. Pallassery is something that will disturb you while watching the film. Balaji Shakthivel has planted the story in a background that has elements which the current generation can relate easily. The idea of taking the topic of advancement in technology that creates wicked thoughts among teenagers and showing it in a commercially feasible and engaging way is indeed an appreciable attempt.

In the making M Renjith has followed a typical style of making. He could have handled the scenes involving the young actors in a better way. J Pallassery’s writing is also satisfactory. The dramatic dialogs were safe in the hands of veteran actors, Shammi Thilakan (dubbed for the CI) and Ganapathi. But the fresh faces who had a major share among the dialogs couldn’t bring the magic. Cinematography of Azhagappan is satisfactory and the cuts of Saajan are good and it keeps the film moving. Pattanam Rasheed once again did a good job in the makeup section and surprisingly Rejaputhra Renjith didn’t used music for this film. The background music of Gopi Sunder is fitting and the main romantic theme music manages to stay in the head.

The main protagonists and antagonists in the movie are new comers. Niranjan as Benny, Mithun Murali as Deepak, Samskruthy Shenoy as Aarathy and Malavika Sai as Reena are just about satisfying. For me the best performer of the movie was Ganapathi who really did a fabulous job and if he can hang in this industry for some more time I am sure he will be a good character actor. I don’t know the actor who played the role of CI but his performance was largely aided by the dubbing of Shammi Thilakan. Maniyan Pilla Raju, Sithara, Janardhanan and Sukumari are there to enhance star cast and they have all done their parts neatly.

On the whole, Black Butterfly scores for its treatment. Hiccups and indigestible flavors are there in parts.

Breaking news 2013 malayalam movie review official_©RH

Through his debut venture “Breaking News Live” the intention of debutant director Sudhir Ambalapadu is to make the society aware about its responsibilities and also to remind people that a timely act small or big can at times save the life of an innocent individual. Sadly the outdated making and unnecessary thriller style treatment spoils the intention and the movie becomes a tiring watch even in its very short run time.

The movie is a work of fiction, but the main source of the spark is the famous case that happened a few years back where a girl was brutally abused and killed in a train and the co passengers were accused by the society for being mute. In Breaking News Live the leading lady represents those passengers who failed to help the girl in that crucial time. Even though the real life story was a tragic one, the reel life story is not.

The problem with Breaking News Live is its scripting. Almost the entire first half looks quite unnecessary as it is used just to create an atmosphere around the main female protagonists. To make things commercial the writers have tried to narrate scenes in a suspicious way but sadly each scene looked quite isolated and the natural humor also didn’t worked. The second half is too much of drama with each character accusing the central protagonist and it looked quite insane.

In the performance side, Kavya gets a role that cannot be termed as challenging and her performance is satisfactory. Mythili gets a vital role and she is definitely improving by each film. Apart from these two characters and the largely mute antagonist, the other characters are quite exaggerated. The characters played by Anoop Chandran and Mamukkoya does have a fair amount of screen time but the content never really demanded such characters which were used for adding some fun which couldn’t sync with the movie. Vineeth, Devan, Thilakan etc are there just to enhance the star cast. It was nice to see Sukumari in a sound character after a long time.

In the making direction and scripting is quite outdated. The thriller type treatment was a mistake as the movie never really had a thrilling point. Misplaced commercial flavors and overdose of melodrama drags the movie big time.  Almost the entire second half is hard to digest as it couldn’t make the required impact on the viewer. VFX is just about ok and I loved the title sequence powered by Mr Vinod Kovoor. Cinematography is also compromised and the music isn’t that catchy. The placing of the songs was really awkward and it disturbs the movie big time.

On the whole Breaking News Live fails to achieve its aim. With more realistic making and practical emotions the theme could have been presented in a better way. I am giving it 1.5/5. Good theme but a total let down as a movie.

Celluloid is the story of J.C Daniel, The director of Malayalam first film 'Vigathakumaran'. he is the first producer, writer, Cinematographer and hero also. This film tells about J.C Daniel's dedication to make his first film, and events happen to his life etc. it also discuss about the issues faced by womens on that time. Celluloid is the history of Malayala cinema.

Kamal done a excellent job, the direction gives a re-birth to J.C Daniel. He can keep a special mood all over the film, we can feel the film rather than watch it. a perfect work from Kamal.

After 'Ayalum njanum thammil', Prithviraj got another powerful charecter. Prithviraj did his best enough to a state of National award. The casting of Chandini to Celluloid is a apt dicission, she make her role as P.K Rosie best in her level. Mamtha Mohandas also done her role well in both getup. Sreejith Ravi, Nadumudi and other supporting cast are done well, a good casting from Kamal.

Camara is another advantage to the movie, he is indebted to beautiful frames of the movie. The 2 songs are good and being hit amoung public. The BGM, Cinematography, Editing and other technical side done a greate job to build a perfect film.

While a biopic movie, Celluloid is a good entertiner too. If you are a Malayalam movie lover, it is a must watch movie to you.

"Natholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla rivew frm a site
Well, this movie has created a lot of buzz around here. as an experimental movie, "Natholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla" enchants at many parts. Don't know whether it could be called as a new generation movie or not.

Prem (Fahad Fazil) lives in a village and dreams to make something big in the field of writing. He has hit at the right block when the context was created by the Captain G Krishna (Sathar) who gave a job on the flat he lives in the city. Getting in to the role of caretaker of the flat apartments, he befriended with Vasu, the watchman (Mukundan). Receiving a double name "Natholi" during those days, his life was further deviated by the intervention of Prabha (Kamalini Mukharjee). He develops a story making the people around him as characters. He sketched a character called Narendran and transforms in to him. At some point, Preman aka Natholi doubts that whether he has lost his control over him. And this is where the movie starts to heat up.

What the movie has dedicated to us is a strikingly homely name that definitely has a link with the original story line. The sufferings of an underdog, which eventually force him to endeavor the situation has been one of the most popular themes of movies in the Indian context. First of all, we all want listen to the scripts of Shankar Ramakrishnan. One starts to think of the story of some unknown characters and following them in real life. He even lost his own personality to the character of his fancy. The kind of story could have deviated into a more unrealistic manner at any point of time. Shankar Ramakrishnan has lucidly narrated the story of Preman and his fancy world. His script never tended to be too serious and provided timely comics though at times was a bit of itching. Then too this one really deserves an applause right from the heart.

Next, obviously the director's work of moulding the story comes to mind. VKP has done a reasonably nice job. "NOCM" has the kind of taste that we like to and was served without much frail by director VKP. This one would definitely stand with or above his "Beautiful". But, the care given to the details of narration became verily a humdrum journey at some points. This has costed a lot of situations where the interest goes below the billow.

Then too, the raw of talent that the movie poses bestowed the flavor right in front of you. Movie poses not too many characters. Fahad looked convincing enough to portray those two entirely different characters with euphoria. He was there in front of you virtually in almost every frame. He and serial actor Mukundan shared a nice rapport on the screen. Slowly, you can find that the innocent smile of Preman is infringing the dashing Narendran. Kamalinee Mukharjee with her limited Malayalam dialogues steps along with Preman. Her cross – examination with Preman was a decent attempt of performance. The dubbing could have been a little better.

The fact is that, each one from Sathar to Chinnu Kuruvila, Krishna Prabha and even Rima Kallingal whose screen space was a limited to some minutes indeed looked sleeking. There were moments when we think that the servant character of Krishna Prabha got a touch of "Kanyaka" of previous VKP movies. But, as written by Preman in the movie, Shankar Ramakrishnan's script never allowed the character going into any kind of vulgarity. But, at the same time, Aishwarya was given a slightly vamp kind of role.

But, the script really broke the rule as it proceeded to the climax. Some intervention of unnecessary philosophizing dialogues was unable to match the rhythm of its preceding frames. Like what M.T did at "Vadakkan Veeragatha", he tried to give a new dimension to the characters of "Manjil virinja pookkal". All the three lead characters, Preman, Prabha, and Narendran in a way or other related to the movie. Other technical departments like editing by Mahesh Narayanan Arun James' Cinematography were satisfying. The songs by Abhijit Shylanath was average.

The story of of a man who clapped for "Manjil Virinja Pookkal" from the womb dared to go through those characters when he grown up is what "NOCM" is.

ഭയങ്കര മോശം അഭിപ്രായം കേട്ടതിനു ശേഷമാണ് വി കെ പ്രകാശിന്റെ നത്തോലി ഒരു ചെറിയ മീനല്ല സിനിമ കാണാന്‍ പോയത് . മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ എന്ത് പറഞ്ഞാലും നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കൊരു ആസ്വാദനശേഷി ഉണ്ടാകുമല്ലോ ?? മലയാള സിനിമയില്‍ ഒരു പുതുമ സമ്മാനിക്കുന്ന ചിത്രമാണ് ഇത്. ഇതിനു ഇത്രയും മോശം അഭിപ്രായം നേടിയതിന്റെ കാരണം ഒരു പക്ഷേ ഈ സിനിമ അവസാനിപ്പിച്ച രീതിയാകാം . നാട്ടിന്‍ പുറത്തുകാരനായ ഫഹദ് പട്ടണത്തിലെ ഒരു ഫ്ളാറ്റിന്‍റെ care taker ആയി ജോലിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നു. നത്തോലി എന്നുള്ളത് ഇരട്ടപ്പേരാണ്. സിനിമയില്‍ കഥ എഴുത്തുകാരനാകണം എന്നുള്ളതും പുള്ളിയുടെ ആഗ്രഹമാണ് . അവിടെ താമസിക്കുന്ന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളുടെ കൂടി കഥയാണ്‌ ഈ ചിത്രം . അവിടെ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ ഫഹദിന്റെ കഥാപാത്രം അപമാനിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് അവിടെയുള്ള ഒരു യുവതിയുടെ മുന്നില്‍ . തുടര്‍ന്ന് തന്റെ തൂലിക കൊണ്ട് അയാള്‍ പ്രതികാരം എന്നവണ്ണം മറ്റൊരു സാങ്കല്‍പ്പിക കഥാപാത്രത്തെ സൃഷ്ടിചെടുക്കുന്നു.

തിരക്കഥ വളരെ വെത്യസ്തമാണ് . ഇതിനു മുന്‍പ് മലയാള സിനിമയില്‍ വന്നിട്ടില്ല (ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സിനിമയിലും വന്നതായി ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നില്ല, ചിലപ്പോള്‍ ഉണ്ടായേക്കാം ) . ആദ്യം സ്വീകരിക്കാന്‍ മടി കാട്ടുന്ന മലയാളികള്‍ ഈ പുതുമയും സ്വീകരിചേക്കാം . സിമ്പിള്‍ ആണ് ആദ്യ പകുതി. രണ്ടാം പകുതിയില്‍ ചെറിയ ലാഗും അവസാനിപ്പിച്ച രീതിയും മാറ്റി നിര്‍ത്തിയാല്‍ സിനിമ ബോറടിപ്പിക്കില്ല (തികച്ചും വ്യക്തിപരമായ അഭിപ്രായം ). ഫഹദ് സാധാരണക്കാരനായിട്ടും മോഡേണ്‍ കഥാപാത്രമായും ഇതില്‍ വേഷമിടുന്നു . പിന്നെ ഫഹദ് ചിന്തിച്ചു സ്വയം ചിരിക്കുന്നതും ആവശ്യത്തിനു ബോറായിട്ടുണ്ട് . പുതിയ നായികയെ കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ സ്ഥിരം കണ്ടു വരുന്ന കുരച്ചു കുരച്ചു മലയാളം പറഞ്ഞു കുളമാക്കി പോകുമെന്ന് കരുതി. എന്തായാലും ഈ കഥാപാത്രത്തിന് അനുയോജ്യമാണ് , മോശമാക്കിയില്ല. റിമ കല്ലിങ്കല്‍ ഒരു ചെറിയ വേഷം മാത്രമാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. പൊട്ടിച്ചിരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തമാശകളോ അശ്ളീലങ്ങളോ (എന്തെങ്കിലും ഈ സമൂഹത്തില്‍ നടക്കുന്നത് കാണിച്ചാല്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ അത് അശ്ലീലമാണല്ലോ ) ഇതില്‍ ഇല്ല. ശങ്കര്‍ രാമകൃഷ്ണന്‍ എന്തായാലും നല്ലൊരു attempt ആണ് നടത്തിയിട്ടുള്ളത് . കണ്ടു മടുത്ത മസാല സിനിമകളേക്കാള്‍ ഇത്തരം പുതുമകള്‍ കാണാന്‍ ആണ് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്. 
എന്തായാലും സിനിമ അവസാനിപ്പിച്ച രീതി ഇത് വേണ്ടിയിരുന്നില്ല എന്ന് എനിക്കും തോന്നിപ്പോയി. അതുവരെ മിണ്ടാതിരുന്ന പ്രേക്ഷകര്‍ നല്ല അന്തസ്സായി കൂവി. ഒരു തവണ കണ്ടിരിക്കാം . എന്തായാലും ഈ നത്തോലിയെ ജനം സ്വീകരിക്കുമോ എന്ന് പ്രവചിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല. സ്വീകരിച്ചാല്‍ ഇത്തരം പുതുമകള്‍ കൊണ്ട് വരാന്‍ അവര്‍ക്കൊരു പ്രചോദനം ആകും. അത്ര മാത്രം .

ഡ്രാക്കുള 2012 കണ്ടപോ ചിരിക്കണോ കരയണോ എന്ന അവസ്ഥയില്‍ ആയിപോയി !!
സിനിമ തുടങ്ങിയപോ റൊമാനിയയിലെ ഡ്രാക്കുള കോട്ട കാണിച്ചു കൊണ്ടാണ് തുടങ്ങുനത് , അത് മനസില്‍ വലിയ പ്രേതിക്ഷകള്‍ ഉണര്‍ത്തി ..
നായകനും ഭാര്യയും ഹണിമൂണ്‍ ആഖോഷിക്കാന്‍ റൊമാനിയയില്‍ പോകുന്നു .., അല്പം കഴിഞ്ഞ നായകന്‍ കോട്ടയില്‍ കേറി 2 കളം വരയ്കുകയും 4മണി അടികുകയും ചെയുമ്പോ ഡ്രാകുള വീണ്ടും അവതരിക്കുന്നു (പിന്നെ ഇപ്പൊ വരും !!) ... (ആ ആനിമേഷന്‍ കണ്ടപോ വീട്ടിലെ കണ്ടന്‍ പൂച്ചയെആണ്, ഓര്‍മ വന്നത് , എന്നാലും മലയാളം പടം അല്ലെ ചിലവല്ലെ എന്നോകെ ഓര്‍ത്തു ഞാന്‍ അങ്ങ് പേടിച്ചു കൊടുത്തു )
നായകന്‍ ഭാര്യയെ കടിച് വാംപെയര്‍ ആകുന്നു .. അതിനു ശേഷം കേരളത്തില്‍ (അല്ലേലും എല്ലാ കുരിശുകളും ഇങ്ങൊട്ടെക്ക് ആണല്ലോ ) വന്ന്‍ ദിസുസ എന്ന പേരില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്നു .., അവിടെ വെച്ച് രാജു എന്ന ചെറുപ്പക്കാരനെ പരിച്ചയ്പെടുന്ന ു . ഡ്രാകുള രാജുവിന്റെ കാമുകിയെ കണ്ടപോ തന്റെ റൊമാനിയയില്‍ ഉള്ള തന്റെ കാമുകി ആയിട്ട് തോന്നി .... ശേഷം അവളെ സ്വന്തമാക്കാന്‍ ഡ്രാക്കു ശ്രെമിക്കുന്നു. ഡ്രാക്കുനെ വകവരുത്താന്‍ പ്രൊഫ്‌ പോള്‍ ബോബിന്‍സണ്‍ (പ്രഭു) എത്തുനത്തോടെ കഥ പുതിയ വഴിത്തിരിവിലേക് ക് . ക്ലൈമാക്സില്‍ രാജുവിന്റെ കാമുകിയെയും വാംപയെര്‍ ആക്കി മാറ്റി സ്വന്തം നാട്ടിലേക് കൊണ്ട്പോകാന്‍ ഡ്രാക്കു ശ്രെമിക്കുമ്പോള ്‍
രാജുവും , പോള്‍ ബോബിന്സോനും , കാമുകിയുടെ അച്ഛനും (നാസ്സര്‍) ചേര്‍ന്ന്‍ അത് തടയാന്‍ ശ്രെമിക്കുന്നു !
വലിയ ഒരു ടെന്‍ഷന്‍ പ്രേക്ഷകരില്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കാന്‍ സംവിധായകന്‍ ശ്രെമിച്ചു , വിജയിച്ചില്ല (അവിടെ പാലുകാച്ചല്‍ ഇവിടെ താലികെട്ട് ... പാലുകാച്ചല്‍ താലികെട്ട്) അവസാനം രാജുമോന്‍ ഡ്രാക്കുനേ ഇടിച്ചു വീഴുതുകയാണ്‌ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെ വീഴുത്തുകയാണ്!!

Story
Sam Fernandez (Aravind Swamy) and Bergmans (Arjun) partake training sessions in a Christian Seminary for priesthood. However, with a difference in an argument, the two gets separated and choose different paths and years after, Sam tuning out to be a Church Father and Bergman ends up as criminal millionaire. Sam turns the guardian for the young orphan Thomas (Gautham Karthik) who goes head over heels for Beatrice (Thulasi Nair), daughter of Bergmans. The rest of the story forms the crux.

Performances

Gautham Karthik looks promising and he shows loads of energy with his convincing and impressive performance. He has danced well and his chemistry with Thulasi Nair was good. Despite his not so great characterization in the film, he makes us notice his performance with his efforts.

Thulasi Nair looked good but she has very little scope for performance. She is impressive and the song sequences featuring her have come out well.

Aravind Swamy and Arjun had good amount of roles in the movie and their performances are brilliant. The actors have done their roles with such ease. Thambi Ramiah is convincing, Lakshmi Manchu is brief.

Technical Analysis

Just like every Mani Ratnam film, Kadal is also technically sound film. Rajiv Menon's cinematography is absolutely stunning and as asset for the film. The beaches and the sea are brilliantly captured while the songs picturisation Elay Keechaan, Yaadike, Moongil Thottam is a great watch. AR Rahman’s musical scores are pleasing while the background score is impressive. Sreekar Prasad editing is crisp while art direction is good.

Analysis

Being the ace director Mani Ratnam’s film, Kadal is surrounded with huge expectations. Instead Kadal my not reach your hopes if you expect to watch the film on the range of Roja, Nayagan, Thalapathi, Bombay, Geethanjali et al. Kadal is all bout good vs bad and the central characters are essayed by Aravind Swamy and Arjun. In fact the two prominent stars got more screentime and importance than the debutant actors, where the love story is interwoven between these two prominent characters Sam and Bergman in the backdrop of sea.

The initial hour of the movie is excellent and the Thomas characterization as the innocent child was heart-wrenching, but as the story progresses Mani has shown the struggle between the good and bad. The story moves at a very slow pace and it’s only in the second half the love story takes off. Aravind Swamy has tried to pull off the film in the first half but the characterization lacks the needed depth and it isn’t convincing enough. While the narration holds your interest at times, the slow pace and the sloped screenplay frequently tests your patience.

Final Verdict
Technically Brilliant, but content wise an average fare…

ആത്മബന്ധത്തിന്റെ കഥ പറഞ്ഞ് കടല്‍.!

രാവണന്‍ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ പരാജയത്തിനു ശേഷം, മണിരത്നം രണ്ടു വര്‍ഷത്തെ ഇടവേളയ്ക്കു ശേഷം തന്റെ മാസ്റ്റര്‍ പീസ് കഥയുമായി വന്‍ തിരിച്ചു വരവാണ് കടല്‍ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ നടത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. നടന്‍ കാര്‍ത്തിക്കിന്റെ മകന്‍ ഗൗതം കാര്‍ത്തിക്കും പഴയക്കാല നടി രാധയുടെ ഇളയമകള്‍ തുളസി നായരുമാണ് ചിത്രത്തില്‍ മണിരത്നം നമ്മുക്ക് പരിചയ പെടുത്തുന്ന പുതുമുഖങ്ങള്‍. വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ശേഷം നടന്‍ അരവിന്ദ് സ്വാമി അഭിനയ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചു വരുന്നു എന്ന പ്രതെകതയും ചിത്രത്തിനുണ്ട്. ചിത്രത്തിനെ ഉള്ള്‍ കാഴ്ചയിലേക്ക്

കടല്‍ ആത്മബന്ധതിന്റെയും പ്രതികാരത്തിന്റെയും പ്രണയത്തിന്റെയും കഥ പറയുന്ന ചിത്രമാണ്. കടപ്പുറത്ത് താമസിക്കുന്ന ക്രിസ്ത്യന്‍ മീന്‍പിടിത്തക്കാരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങള്‍ പള്ളിയുംമായോ പള്ളിക്കരിയങ്ങള്ളൂമായോ യാതൊരു ബന്ധവും ഇല്ലാത്തൊരു ഗ്രാമം. നായകന്റെ അമ്മ ചെറുപ്പത്തില്‍ തന്നെ മരിച്ചു പോകുന്നു, ഹൃദയ സപര്ശിയായിയാണ് സംവിധായകന്‍ ഈ രംഗങ്ങള്‍ കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ചെറുപ്പത്തിലെ അനാധനാക്കുന്ന നായകന്‍ വളരുന്ന മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ വെറുപ്പ്‌ സംബധിച്ച് കൊണ്ട് ആണ്, ഈ സമയത്ത് ആണ് പള്ളിവികാരിയായി സാം ഫെര്‍ണണ്ടസ് ആയി അരവിന്ദ് സ്വാമി ആ ഗ്രാമത്തില്‍ എത്തുന്നത് പിന്നീട് അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രയത്നതാല്ലേ ജനങ്ങളും പള്ളിയുമായുള്ള ബന്ധം വളരുന്നു, തോമസ്‌ എന്ന ഗൗതം കാര്‍ത്തിക്കിന്റെ നായക കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അരവിന്ദ് സ്വാമി മീന്പിടിത്താകരുടെ കൂടെ അയക്കുന്നു പിന്നീടു നമ്മള്‍ കാന്നുന്നത് തോമസും ഫാദര്‍ സാം മായുള്ള ആത്മ ബന്ധത്തിന്റെ കഥയാണ്‌. ഒരു ബസ് യാത്രയില്‍ വച്ച് നായകന്‍ നായികയെ കാണുന്നു ബിയാടിറിസ് (തുളസി നായര്‍), കുട്ടികളുടെ മനസുമായി നടക്കുന്ന ബിയാടിറിസ് ഒരു നര്‍സ് കൂടിയാണ്, ഒരിക്കല്‍ ഫാദര്‍ സാം വെടിയേറ്റ്‌ കിടക്കുന്ന ഒരാളേ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു അത് അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ സുഹുര്‍ത്തായ ബെര്‍ഗ്മാന്‍സ് (അര്‍ജുന്‍) ആയിരുന്നു. അച്ഛന്‍ പട്ടത്തിനു പഠിക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത് ശത്രുക്കളായി പിരിഞ്ഞ ഇരവരും വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ശേഷം കണ്ടു മുട്ടുന്നു. പിന്നീട് പ്രതികാരിതിന്റെയും മനോഹരമായ പ്രണയത്തിന്റെ കഥ പറഞ്ഞ് ചിത്രം മുന്നോട്ടു പോകുന്നു.

ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ കുറെ ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ കടലില്‍ തന്നെ ചിത്രികരിച്ച് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ അണിയറ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ പ്രശംസ അര്‍ഹിക്കുന്നു, ചെറിയ റോള്‍ ആണേയെങ്കീലും അയ്യപ്പ ബൈജു തന്റെ 1st സ്സിനില്‍ തന്നെ കയ്യടി നേരുന്നു.

റ ഹ് മാന്‍ സാറിന്റെ സംഗീതവും, രാജീവ്‌ മേനോന്‍ വിഷ്വല്‍ ട്രീട്ടും ജയ മോഹന്റെ സ്ക്രിപ്റ്റും മണി സാറിന്റെ ഡയര്ക്ഷനും എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ട ഘടങ്ങള്‍ ആണ്. പിന്നെ പുതുമുഖ നടന്‍ എന്നതിലും ആപ്പുറമായിരുന്നു ഗൗതം കാര്‍ത്തിക്കിന്റെ പ്രകടനം . ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ആര്‍ട്ട്‌ വര്‍ക്കും, കോസ്ടുംസ്, ലോകാഷനും ആണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ മറ്റു പ്രധാന സവിശേഷതകള്‍. ഒരു ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ എന്റര്‍ടെയിനര്‍ കടല്‍ 100 ശതമാനം ഒരു നല്ല ചിത്രം കണ്ടു എന്ന സംതൃപ്തിയോടെ തിയേറ്ററില്‍ നിന്നും പ്രേക്ഷകന് ഇറങ്ങി വരാന്‍ കഴിയും.
